Wills Furniture – Master Craftsmen

Wills Furniture are renowned as Master Craftsmen. Working from the very many inspired and traditional designs available from the Wills Furniture Collection, the Wills team of upholsterers, seamstresses, furniture makers, metal workers, and artisans interpret the Designers brief right down to the last detail, creating impeccable, comfortable, visually stunning masterpieces, time after time. Furniture that not only feels good but looks good with classic lines and real finesse.

Wills Furniture originally were located in South Melbourne producing high quality attractive furniture from its factory there for over 30 years. In 1960 the Wills team moved to premises in Surrey Hills until about 20 years ago when the business moved again to its present location in Guest St, Hawthorn (view on Google maps)

The Wills family have been making classic furniture now for over 80 years. And the proven timely manufacturing and furniture making methods of those times are still as valid today as they were 80 years ago. If anything modern equipment adds to the precision, but rest assured all furniture produced by Wills at its factory is genuinely handmade and artisan produced using only materials of the highest quality.

The Wills standards for cushioning include feather/foam or premium foam/dacron for seating cushioning whilst holofil/dacron is used for the back cushions. Other options include Luxury Foam, Enduro Foam, Spring Cells and Feather Combinations.

All Wills Furniture designs require fully hand tied coil spring construction, this includes the front edge. However if required there is also the option of selecting contemporary modern springing.

High quality, kiln dried hardwood is used in all Wills framing, with corner blocking being standard on all frames providing real strength and rigidity.

With a sample provided, Wills can generally match all timber polished finishes and colours. Painted finishes and antique polishing techniques can be optioned on request.

Studding options provide for individual studding or continuous strip studding. You can check here on our website for studding options.

Wills provides a range of castors in 4 finishes – Chrome, Brass, Antique Brass or Antique Bronze. Castors are available with round cups or square cups to suit either turned or square legs.

And when Designers give specifications and modifications, providing all variations prior to the final order, Wills are quite willing to work to Designer modifications for specific furniture pieces to suit the designs required.
