Each year in Great Britain there are a number of exhibitions, expo’s and shows featuring the very best in innovation, traditional and contemporary upholstered furniture, lighting, flooring and other aspects of Interior Design.

Two of the more interesting shows scheduled annually are the Long Eaton’s Guild of Furniture Manufacturers Spring and Autumn Shows, named ‘Spring Long Point’ and ‘Autumn Long Point’. The guild is designed and operated to present the works of local manufacturers, sharing their knowledge, experiences and the heritage behind their endeavours. The furniture speaks for itself in its craftsmanship and excellence. Both shows also feature ‘online’ virtual shows where the manufacturer’s websites are profiled in succession during the show.

 

The furniture profiled is traditional or traditional with contemporary interpretations. Often Designers, Decorators and Architects will create new and exciting bespoke furniture for individual projects. The Wills team of Craftsmen have long experience in interpreting drawings and plans, creating exactly what the designer has in mind. With skill and expertise our artisans bring the design to life, creating unique pieces that breathe life into the overall project vision.

The Wills team are experienced and skilled in producing unique, individual furniture to the design specifications supplied by Interior Designer, Decorators and Architects. As well where required the Wills team can modify current furniture pieces featured in the Wills Collection to meet the space and/or the concepts of the Interior Designer or Decorator as provided.

Designers can create modular furniture with nominated space requirements. Wills will produce the furniture units to fit the spaces exactly and correctly as desired. This includes one-off modular furniture, ottomans, bench seating, traditional sofas and chairs. In short Wills will provide a superb rendition of the plans and designs developed by the designers, decorators and architects on each occasion.

Keep in mind that most Wills designed Sofas can be easily modified to include Sofa Bed mechanisms. Each such mechanism has fully sprung mattresses and is reliably tested for comfort and functionality. Sofa Beds provide a wonderful and simple option for guest rooms or those ‘spare’ spaces.

Albert Sofa

This European inspired sofa features luxuriously padded, large scroll arms with piped facing detail. This classical European style of sofa has been a mainstay of European furniture design appearing in collections for over a century. We are proud to have it in our collection, with each piece being handcrafted in our workshop located in Hawthorn, Melbourne.

Carlton Sofa

This handsome sofa has large designer inspired scroll arms and a domed back, which designers often refer to as a ‘humpback’. This back is tight fitted, upholstered with coil springs for support and comfort. The steel springs are all eight way hand tied in the traditional manner. The frame is Australian hard timber and all of the combination cushions can be upholstered in any fabric or leather of your choosing.

Amelia Sofa

This sweet tub style sofa has a unique design that is very eye-catching and feminine.

It can be optioned to have fully lined skirts or polished timber block feet. It offers true comfort and seat cushions can also be optioned with either a feather wrap cushion or a feather/down combination.
